Anyone who’s ever had calluses on their feet knows that they can be unsightly, as well as extremely ProFeet USPS Black Cushioned Health Sockpainful if they’re left untreated at all. Calluses are portions of the skin that have become tough and hard due to repetitive use and irritation. The feet are highly susceptible to developing calluses, because people are on their feet so much and they are constantly under pressure. If you’ve had calluses and don’t want to have to go through it again, or you just want to keep calluses from ever developing on our feet, there are a few things you can do to prevent them.

Firstly, wear shoes or boots whenever you can, even when you’re inside and especially if you have an ongoing problem with calluses. If you’re going to be outside in rough conditions, wear strong work boots or winter boots such as Kamik boots. These will provide a wide barrier and plenty of cushion between your foot and those harsh elements, preventing the formation of calluses.

To also help protect your foot make sure you always wear good quality socks that also have plenty of cushion, such as Thorlo socks.  These socks will provide additional cushion and help with any pressure being placed on the foot.

When you need any boots, shoes or health socks to keep your feet happy, healthy and callus-free, come see us at Amazing Socks. Calluses themselves don’t hurt, but the pressure they put on other areas of your foot can, so it’s best to keep them from ever forming in the first place.
